John holds the following qualifications:

• BSc(Eng) (Civil) from the University of the Witwatersrand
• MSc(Eng) (Civil) from the University of the Witwatersrand
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Pretoria

John Bryant is a highly experienced and accomplished engineer, engineering manager and project manager, with a range of multi-sector and multi-disciplinary application experience. His Civil Engineering technical competencies include extensive Structural Engineering expertise and experience in infrastructure and mining/resources applications.

His multi-disciplinary project and engineering management expertise is complemented by his commercial and business expertise and insights. His management experience also includes corporate management and management of engineering, operations and project support functions (including proposal/bid management and preparation).

John’s career experience has spanned multiple application sectors, including energy, mining, materials handling, civil infrastructure and industrial plants.

This experience has been gained through working in both the consulting/EPCM and EPC environments, which has furnished him with particular insights and expertise from multiple perspectives to apply in his role as an advisor/consultant.

Past roles have encompassed project management, engineering design and engineering management, proposal and estimation preparation and management, tender evaluation and operations & maintenance management, as well as getting his boots dirty on site.

With an eye for the detail within the context of the bigger picture, coupled with his commercial and business nous, John’s application of a pragmatic and real-world approach is a particular characteristic of his value-add to projects and engineering activities.

An approach actively applied to risk management, due-diligence, proposal and bid preparation and management, as well as to project and engineering management, strategy, planning, design, execution and operations & maintenance management. And which he leverages in his advisory and consulting capacity.
